Detta anche Torre dei Rosa, dalla famiglia che tra la fine del XII e il XIII sec. Provvide probabilmente ad erigerla, costituisce un notevole esempio di architettura civile fortificata, oltre ad essere la più alta torre della città (circa 30 m.). Di particolare rilievo sono le due grandi porte ad arco acuto sul lato nord e l’originaria monofora, pure archiacuta, sul lato ovest. L’edificio, parzialmente distrutto dai bombardamenti dell’ultima guerra e successivamente restaurato, ospita oggi il Museo Civico, l’Ufficio Cultura e l’Archivio Storico Comunale. 

Torre Frumentaria

It is also called Torre dei Rosa from name the family that probably built it between the end of the 12th cent. And 13 th cent. It is the highest tower in the town (about 30 metres high) and it is considered a remarkable example of civil fortified architecture. The two large pointed arch doors on the north side and the original single lancet window of the same style on the west side are outstanding. Part of the building was destroyed during the last war and later restored. Today it houses the Civic Museum, the Town Office for Culture and the Town Archive.
