Il complesso venne probabilmente edificato a partire dalla metà circa del XIII sec. Adottando i moduli dell’architettura cistercense, ma con le varianti proprie degli ordini mendicanti. La chiesa, in corso di restauro, presenta una facciata con portale architravato sormontato da un piccolo protiro pensile; molto bello è il rosone, realizzato con archi intrecciati sorretti da colonnine. L’interno è a navata unica, con transetto e coro rettilineo. L’annesso convento e il relativo chiostro, danneggiati nell’ultimo conflitto, conservano ancora l’impianto di base.   

The church and the convent of S. Domenico

The construction was probably started about the half of the 13th cent., following the rules of the Cistercian architecture but adopting, however, the versions of the mendicant orders. The church, which is being restored, has a front with an architrave portale and a small hanging porch over it. The rose-window, carried out with crossed arches supported by small columns, is very fine. The interior has one only nave, a transept and a rectilinear choir. The enclosed convent and its cloister were bombed during the last war but they still keep their base plan.
