Il grande basamento della terrazza mediana è caratterizzato, nel lato ovest, da cinque arcate; la più grande si apre verso la scala di collegamento con la platea superiore; l’ultima è cieca ed è riferibile al corridoio interno; le tre centrali, infine, danno in altrettanti ambienti costruttivi intercomunicanti e coperti con volta a botte. Il primo di questi conserva ancora un rocchio di colonna scanalato appartenente al tempio maggiore.   

West substructural rooms

On the west side, the main feature of the large base of the middle terrace is a series of 5 arches: the largest one communicates with the staircase which leads to the upper plateau; the last one is blind and is connected to an interior corridor; the three central ones are in communication with as many inter-communicating and substructural rooms which are covered with barrel vaults. The first one of these still keeps a fluted drum belonging to the major temple.
