E’ una profonda fenditura naturale, aperta in origine sul fronte banco roccioso del monte e oggi in gran parte interrata. Essa venne inglobata nella parete nord del corridoio interno del basamento costruttivo e regolarizzata, nella parte superiore, con un arco a tutto sesto e una volta poggianti su piedritti in opera incerta. Il luogo venne destinato, probabilmente, ad un culto oracolare, forse connesso a quello superiore.   

Grotto of the oracle

It is a deep natural cleft originally open to the front rocky side of the mountain and most of it is covered with earth today. It was included in the north wall of the interior corridor of the substructural base and a round arch together with a vault layng on opus incertum piers were built on the upper side. Perhaps the place was devoted to an oracle devotion and, maybe, in relation to the upper one.
