Gli ambienti di facciata del “piccolo tempio” conservano ancora i resti, purtroppo molto rovinati, delle decorazioni parietali realizzate nel cosiddetto “I stile pompeiano”. Si tratta di un intonaco stuccato e affrescato ad imitazione dei rivestimenti marmorei, formato da riquadri a fasce orizzontali di colore giallo e rosso, separate da listelli in rosso, azzurro e verde. La decorazione risale, come tutto l’edificio, alla fine del II sec. a.C.   

Decoration in the “First Pompeian Style”

The front rooms of the “Small Temple” still keep the remains, even if in a bad condition, od the decoration belonging to the so called “First Pompeian style” of painting which imitates marble-facing walls by means of painted stucco composed of squares with red and yellow horizontal stripes, kept separate by red, blue and green listels. The decoration, as well as the whole building, goes back to the 2nd cent. B.C.
